Business Analyst

Business Analyst to support simple to moderately complex software-based systems; ensure that appropriate functionality is included in our software products; contribute to the design and development of custom software; assist in the direction of software development activities using an Agile development methodology; produce documentation such as functional requirements, system requirements, requirements matrices, narratives, stories, and other descriptions of functionality; and work with product and project managers to define, prioritize and communicate requirements to product development and quality assurance teams. Qualified applicants must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field and a minimum of two years of software product management or business analyst experience. Experience must include working knowledge of system design principles and software development methodologies; enterprise technologies (i.e., web services, Oracle, JMS, SOA, etc.); Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Visio, Project); and relational databases and SQL (including experience writing SQL queries). Must have significant experience translating business processes into functional requirements; communicating functional requirements to software developers, quality assurance (QA) and project management personnel; and writing functional specification documents and writing acceptance tests for software development. Must be willing to travel 25% of the time.
