Ecologic Analytics to Showcase Third Generation MDM and SmartData Connect During DistribuTECH 2012

BLOOMINGTON, MN - January 23, 2012:  Ecologic Analytics, provider of the leading meter data management (MDM) solution based on international standards, announces that the next generation Ecologic MDM software and newest application extension, SmartData Connect™, will be on display and demonstrated live at booth #4447 during DistribuTECH 2012.

In a press release issued last fall, Ecologic Analytics announced the capabilities of its third generation MDM solution, which consists of several infrastructure and usability advances, and defined as:

• Standards Support: Meeting the functional specifications for the SAP for Utilities EhP 5 and the International Electrotechnical Commissions (IEC) 61968-9 (2nd Edition).
• Multi-Organizational Support: Leveraging both the flexible and secure user interface and the elastic scaling properties of the infrastructure to enable utilities, providing 'central office' capabilities for smaller member utilities to do so with a single instance of the Ecologic MDM.
• Internationalization and Localization: Enabling rapid translation and fully localized content supporting culture and local business practices.
• New User Experience: Offering standards- and role-based access and new data views, workflows and exception management capabilities.

These features are now generally available in the Ecologic MDM system. During DistribuTECH 2012, Ecologic Analytics will demonstrate several of the visual aspects this next generation MDM including, SmartData Connect. The demonstrations will take place at regularly scheduled times during the conference at Ecologic Analytics' booth #4447:

   Tuesday at 11:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.
   Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.
   Thursday at 11:15 a.m.

SmartData Connect is a secure and flexible customer engagement application offered as application extension for the Ecologic MDM solution. SmartData Connect delivers energy consumption data through a straightforward and intuitive interface. This new extension for the Ecologic MDM delivers the rigorously validated data found within the MDM to those outside the utility. The depth of data displayed is configured by the utility and based upon the access profile of the user.
