Validation, Estimation and Editing: Near real time data with real accuracy.

Utility billing is moving toward the use of daily meter-read data. But to be accurate, this data must be properly validated and, in instances of faulty or incomplete data, estimated. Using validation, estimation and editing (VEE), the data is quickly and accurately verified and if needed, amended making it available for billing, operational and other uses by the utility.

The tasks of VEE are handled by the WAVE™ and iWAVE™ modules within the Ecologic Meter Data Management System (MDMS). They regularly verify the accuracy of meter read interval data within the meter data repository and, when needed, correct this data, all in near real time. Using VEE ensures you have current, accurate data for billing and other time sensitive operations.
