That's where the Gateways module of the Ecologic Meter Data Management System (MDMS) steps in. Like a master linguist, it can speak fluently in near real time with virtually every advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) system in use to remotely access and extract accurate meter readings or send connect and disconnect commands. Within the Ecologic MDMS, many gateways are constructed using service oriented architecture. Point-to-point and file-based interfaces are also supported. This gives you ultimate flexibility in designing your system, whether starting from scratch or retrofitting with existing equipment.
